I'm a startup operator and fitness enthusiast from New York, living in Dubai.
About me
Growing up an hour outside of Manhattan, I had always been drawn to the energy of the big city. I enrolled at Columbia for my undergraduate degree, where I spent a semester abroad in Paris before graduating Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude with a degree in American Studies and Human Rights – and a budding passion for seeing more of the world.
Upon graduation, I was awarded a Fulbright scholarship to spend 11 months in Taiwan, followed by 7 weeks in Japan. I quickly learned that I thrive in ambiguity, crave new challenges, and absolutely love the experience of living in a culture foreign to my own.
After concluding my Fulbright grant, I moved back to New York City to join Republic, a Seed-stage company with <25 employees taking on the herculean task of democratizing private investing. I quickly fell in love with the beautiful chaos that is early-stage startups. After wearing many hats across legal & compliance and business development, I saw an opportunity to build out a crucial and increasingly important function for the firm: portfolio management.
I created SOPs to support portfolio expansion across four verticals, built and optimized a scalable portfolio tracking solution, and hired a team to enable exponential growth from 70 to 700+ businesses in 2 years.
After 4.5 years building at Republic, I moved on to lead the Growth team at a Series A travel technology company called Gordian, where I oversaw a team of 6 sales reps, engineers and product managers and owned the company’s go-to-market motion, business development framework, and new customer implementations.
Today, I am based in Dubai where I consult early stage companies on operationalizing processes and honing their go-to-market and distribution strategies. Companies come to me when they have a product and early traction, but lack the operational discipline to achieve the revenue and customer growth they're looking for.
I love making order out of chaos and bringing new energy and perspective to existing challenges. In addition to my work in startups, I am a certified Pilates instructor, co-creator of Fitnecessities, a fitness platform based in Dubai, and author of On the Brookeshelf, a monthly everything newsletter.
